In the presence of a great sculptor, one can see better what divides painting from sculpture. They are two almost antagonistic ways  of thinking; An antagonism that ows less to mannerism of the profession, to the implementation of the materials, than to the way of thinking of some and others.

On these views taken around a Comby's small warrior (200 mm) the importance of the view choice is obvious. A sculpture must make you feel like turning around it. A good sculptor is able to gather in a same object, a great quantity of views one couldn't imagine compatible one with another. Most of the time, this multiplicity of dimensions, of meanings, is concealed by the photography.

Who is able to count the numerous warriors Comby subtly put together in this fighter?

It's great art when the spectator himself re-creates the sculpture choosing from where he looks at it. By Masters, I mean "spectator Masters" as well as "sculptor Masters", nothing is done.
